Pittsfield, MA artist (formerly from NYC) Diane Firtell uses her camera, now mostly her iphone, to capture the ever changing beauty of the Berkshires. While her subject matter has for most of her career remained the same (flowers can be found in her earliest work from her student days at the School of Visual Art and now the landscape since moving to the Berkshires 24 years ago), she is always looking to express herself in different ways and enjoys experimenting with new mediums and techniques. She is a current faculty member at IS183 At School of the Berkshires. Her images translate to notecards, paintings, digital collages, jewelry and decorative art. As a black Belt, she is a passionate movement facilitator of the Nia Technique.
