Our members are a group of vibrant artists working in a wide range of visual media. Through seminars, exhibits and special events we educate ourselves and the public about art and reach out to the community. In the warmer weather we create art outdoors and open our studios to the public. Year round we encourage the love of visual arts and contribute to the quality of life in Berkshire County, Massachusetts.

Letter from Interim President of the Guild, Jill Gustavis
To our wonderful community,
As we've been emerging from our slower season, the Guild has only had a few isolated groups and events in play to cancel due to the current health situation. But with the only increasing presence of Covid-19 and the stricter restrictions on social gatherings now going into the beginning of the busier season, it will come as no surprise that the Guild of Berkshire Artists has put all of our monthly scheduled (in person) events on hold for everyone's health and safety. This covers both small groups as well as larger events, including the business meetings. We ask for your patience as we navigate the next few months and make additional decisions based on the changing timeline and national/state recommendations. We will be continually assessing the situation and begin rescheduling planned events as soon as we are able. During the restriction, we will also work on ways to organize and create online access for some events. Many small groups or resources may already have or be able to create some community access online, so check with the member running the program in question if they have created an online meeting point for their event.
In the meantime, during this time of social distancing and reflection, please take advantage of all the great online resources being shared to our public Facebook group Art in the Berkshires, or share your own!
Over on the Guild's Instagram account (in the stories) I'll begin sharing posts from other artists worldwide that are offering online resources as well. Please feel free to send us any art or art events from local or national artists you think we should share with the community.
As the weather warms, also remember to take advantage of the Guild's Plein Air resources, and share how you're creating art outside in the Facebook group or tag us on Instagram. Or, if you're not on social media, forward us a picture with a caption, and we'd be happy to share it with the community.
Thank you for you time and stay safe, healthy, and creative!
Interim President of the Guild of Berkshire Artists
